Letter from the Founder & Lead Principal
Dear Reader,
§ Welcome §
I am grateful you are taking time to learn more about GMTA: Great Minds Think Alike. I am Sophia Senyo, the Founder and Lead Principal at GMTA. I have the distinct pleasure of being the lead steward of this wonderful organization that is dedicated to the establishing and proliferation of socially conscious for-profit businesses. We bring this to fruition through our offerings and services.
§ What We Offer §
We provide three overarching services and offerings: (1) business advisory and consulting services + (2) trainings and certifications for businesses and individual professionals that are focused on business development and separately professional development in quantitative and qualitative skills + (3) community and connectivity.
Business Advisory and Consulting Services: through this offering we work with businesses, entrepreneurs and organizations by providing them custom well-researched and experience-based guidance and tangible support to get our clients from point A to point B. Making sure that point A and point B is well-defined and puts them in a place to be ready for continued growth and success (whether growth is expansion or whether it is keeping their organization boutique and still being able to have the impact they want).
Seminars & Workshops for Entrepreneurs & Businesses: through this offering we offer live seminars and workshops for entrepreneurs and business that focus on the foundational systems, processes and approaches that are universal to all businesses. We offer a workshop for each stage of the lifecycle of a business. These are the core principles and approaches that are core to the success of any business. This is useful for every business, both new and tenured. We cover the principles that are core to establishing, having and keeping a solid foundation.
Trainings & Certifications for Individual Professionals: through this offering we offer live trainings and certifications for individuals and groups. Core to the success of every business is the people. These trainings target the core skills that are universal for all professionals across all industries, locations and professions. We have learned that our clients have great ideas and businesses but when there is a lack of qualified individuals in their organization then they struggle. Our intent is to address this gap in the skillsets that are essential to all businesses. The trainings we started with are *Customer Service and Excellence (beyond politeness)* -and- *Project and Process Management (for individuals managing themselves and one for individuals managing teams)*.
Community and Connectivity: We have two offerings under this category. The first is a space for “like-intentioned” individuals to come together to have community and accountability and resources. This first offering is a cash free offering but a time investment offering. We found groups that are not serious about expectations have individuals that will pop in and out and that interferes with the progress of those who are serious and wanting a community they can reasonably rely on. Being a business owner and entrepreneur can be a lonely road when you don’t have people that take it as serious as you or who are not visionaries. This group seeks to be that supplemental support.
Our second offering under this category is to connect individuals/professionals with startups or organizations that are looking for an investor, a board member, an advisory member, cofounder, or executive/key employee. We believe there is always at least one person that is a perfect for a role. There are a lot of organizations that do this work but the diversity in these organizations and the level of access is not really available for as many people as it should be. There are tons of middle-income professionals that could be a great add to a startup and help transform the organization into a high revenue generating organization but these individuals may not be aware. And there are tons of organizations that just need quality individuals to add to their leadership team and are just not aware of the options. And our aim here is to create a space to make it easier to find those connections.
§ Our Secret Sauce §
We are intentional.
We are qualified.
We have integrity.
We HIGHLY VALUE customer service.
We challenge ourselves to approach each engagement with a fresh lens.
We continue to learn and expose ourselves to new methodologies and perspectives, so we ensure we are bringing our best to each of our clients -and- that we are staying true to our mission.
§ Our Clients are Family §
When we agree to take on a Client, that act is a thoughtful act. We take time to ensure we will be able to bring our best to an engagement and that it is a good fit before we say Yes to an engagement.
We take our clients’ vision and mission for their idea/business very seriously and are invested in their success not only during their engagement with us but even after. Our clients know that our door is always open to them.
§ Where we are headed §
Our future is bright and we are excited for all that we are doing and for all that is to come.
Our overall intent for our organization is sustainability and to build an ecosystem that continues to evolve.
An upcoming project we are very excited about is a partnership that we are entering into soon to co-lead a Business Startup and Development Incubator for Indigenous-owned Businesses. We will be sure to update our website once that platform has been launched.
§ An Invitation §
I invite you to explore our page and reflect on how we can support you in your business journey or perhaps the business journey of someone you know.
Thank you for taking your time to read this message.
Sincerely,
Sophia Senyo, Esq.
